Fall 2009 Newsletter
Director's Note
We welcome you to our new and improved newsletter. This year we are distributing four newsletters over the course of our camper's school year. Jen Z and I have devised new and exciting ways for Camp Stanley campers to watch each other's work, to learn about other artists, and to give back to their communities.
Attention Camp Stanley campers! Check out "The Camper's Corner" section of this newsletter. It is a dedication to your work as artists and will highlight your total theatre spirit. We are very excited to see what you are up to!
We have also highlighted our camp fair dates, our new YouTube™ channel, the Camp Stanley for community service program, and a Q&A with our favorite "gleek", Dianna Argon.
Total Theatre, Total Fun!
- JZ and Jen Z.

Shoot, paint, juggle, collage, costume, choreograph... but capture it all on video. We now have our very own youtube channel and it is starring YOU! Go forth with the Camp Stanley spirit and spread the TOTAL THEARE magic.
P.S. May the Acromonk be with you!

The Camper's Corner
JZ and Jen Z can't stop talking about Camp Stanley campers. Our campers are creative, bold and funny kids. To honor our campers, Camp Stanley has added The Camper's Corner to our monthly newsletter! Every month we will highlight a Camp Stanley Camper who continues to inspire us during the year.
This newsletter we are highlighting Chelsea and Rose Borg. JZ and Jen Z love comedic sister-duos so it is only fitting we share the Borg Sisters' hysterical teaser to their new web video, Jackson Idol. Chelsea shows off her directing and editing skills while Rose (in front of the camera) cracks us up as usual.

Friends of Total Theatre: Eight Questions for One Artist
Camp Stanley is so excited to share our chat with the adorable, talented, and fun loving actress Dianna Agron! Dianna recently cracked America up while playing Quinn Fabray on FOX's stellar new hit Glee. Have you downloaded the Glee cast's rendition of Don't Stop Believin? If you haven't, trust us - you should! It has consistently been at the top of the itunes charts since airing after the American Idol finale! Dianna is a wonderful actress, and with her gorgeous smile and genuine spirit she is definitely one to keep an eye out for. Thanks Dianna!
Name: Dianna Agron
Profession: Actress
CS: Who are your artistic heroes? DA: My favorite actress of all time is Audrey Hepburn. I love her grace. She lives and breathes life into her characters and it is so lovely to watch. My favorite directors are Tim Burton, Sofia Coppola, and Woody Allen. They are each so unique and have such brilliant minds. Salvador Dali is my favorite artist. His paintings are so dreamlike and imaginative. I love his elephants with spindly legs walking through the desert!
CS: If you were a CS camper, what two concentrations would you choose? DA: I would choose pendemonium and spotlighters!
CS: What are you listening to, reading, or watching lately? DA: Lately I've been listening to Radiohead and Bon Iver, reading Franny and Zooey and just saw Planet Earth. I love the show and the movie was wonderful! I'm a big animal lover!
CS: If you had to pack for camp right now, and you could only bring five things what would you bring? DA: First and foremost I would bring my ipod because I can't live without my music. I would definitely bring a journal. I'm always brainstorming for screenplays, or simply writing down fun things that happen to me. I would bring a few pictures of my family and friends from back home. I'd also probably bring a warm blanket (I'm always cold!) and comfy PJ's.
CS: Smores or pancakes? DA: Pancakes! So delicious!
CS: Describe yourself at age twelve. DA: At twelve years old, I wasn't completely different than I am today in many ways. I loved to daydream and was very imaginative. This helps in my job immensely and I am so happy that I haven't become "too cool" to make believe. However, I didn't have the best style and thankfully I wasn't allowed to wear make-up! I know I wouldn't have been very good at putting it on! Over the years I have developed my clothing style and can apply make-up decently. But all in all, I'm just a big kid :)
CS: Any words of wisdom for our campers? DA: Life is too short to take yourself too seriously. Play! Joke! Be silly! Laughter will ensue, I promise.
